Do I need to be registered on CMA CGM eCommerce to use SeaPriority?


To access the online pricing and book your space, you need to be registered on CMA CGM eCommerce website. If you are not registered as eCommerce customer, you will be invited online to create an account by cliking on "ask an account" and our support team will process to your KYC. When your account will be approved you will receive an e-mailwith your id and password.


How long will it take to receive a booking confirmation?


The standard response time to receive the booking confirmation after the oder is placed is within 2 hours or less during standard working hours (09:00 - 18:00). The booking confirmation will include your booking number and equipment pick up locations.


What are key benefits of SeaPriority ?


SeaPriority is an online product that offers online booking and space guarantee, no matter the size of your company, on CMA CGM services. Directly from CMA CGM eCommerce website, you will have access to the 3 weeks schedule and be able to book for a fixed price the below items:
- The Ocean & Freight related charges between select port pairs
- The Space protection and equipment guarantee

Why is there rolling issues from the carriers?


Rolling over a container happens to be the last option in case of operational issues such as reduction of loadings because of stability distribution of load onboard a vessel, bad weather conditions or productivity issues affecting the window of the vessel.


Are all the local surcharges already included in the rate?


Local charges such as documentation fees are not included in the total invoice.


Do we offer space guarantee for the second connection for X-Trade shipments?


As of now, SeaPriority is available for the first leg only.


Is there a limit in terms of containers per booking?


Customers are allowed to book maximum 20 containers per booking.


Can we book several commodities via SeaPriority?


In the current system, you will be guided to select one single commodity code (HS code) at the time of booking.

Is there any restrictions of destinations for SeaPriority?


SeaPriority is available from Port to Port from India to Europe from Nhava Sheva / Hazira / Mundra / Cochin / Chennai to the United Kingdom (Southampton / London Gateway), Netherlands (Rotterdam), Belgium (Antwerp), Germany (Hamburg), and North of France (Le Havre).


Can I book space for Reefers?


As of now, you can book for Dry containers. We are currently developing the solution for other types of cargo.

As of now, you can book for Dry containers. We are currently developing the solution for other types of cargo.


Can I benefit of other services on the CMA CGM website


After you're finalized your booking request, you will receive a booking confirmation and be able to follow a standard online shipment process (Shipping instruction, VGM, BL, Invoice & Payment).
Then, you will be able to continue your digital experience online (dashboard and tracking tools).


Can I book space for Dangerous Goods?


As of now, you can book for Dry containers. We are currently developing the solution for other types of cargo.


Is SeaPriority available for other group carriers?


SeaPriority is currently available for CMA CGM Bills of Lading only.


Can I select an inland location via SeaPriority?


In the current configuration, you will be guided to select Port to Port destinations.


Can I book in the same time different type of containers?


In the current configuration, you will have the possibility to book only mono container type.

Why do I have to pay an advance payment?


The advanced payment acts as a guarantee against no-show in exchange of space allocation, equipment allocation, and the fast booking process given to SeaPriority customers.

Which charges are subject to Goods & Services Tax?


As per India regulations, sealing charges, Terminal handling charges and the value added services are subject to GST.


What would be the charges on my account for the Online payment?


Charges applicable depends on the mode of payment. Debit card transaction are chargeable by 1.06% (inc. GST) Credit card transaction are chargeable by 2.30% (inc. GST) Netbanking transaction are free of charge.


What is the process after the payment confirmation?


After the payment confirmation, you will receive a booking confirmation and be able to followed the standard shipment process (shipping instructions, VGM, BL draft, Invoice & Payment) directly from your eCommerce dashboard.


Which charges are subject to Goods & Services Tax?


As per India regulations, sealing charges, Terminal handling charges and the value added services are subject to GST.

Can I cancel my booking after the advanced payment?


If you cancel your booking, a refund of the advanced payment will be processed if you have notified CMA CGM of your cancellation before receiving the booking confirmation. However, if your notification reached our office after the booking confirmation, cancellation fees of USD 50 per 20' container & USD 75 per 40' container will be applicable since we have specifically secured equipment & space for your specific requirements.


Can I modify my booking after the advanced payment?


The SeaPriority booking confirmation acts as a contract between the customer and CMA CGM hence any request for modification will cancel the contract. All requested changes will be subject to space vessel availability, operational feasibility and additional charges may be applicable before proceeding to the new booking.


What is the process if I change my destination after the booking?


Similar to the standard change of destination, the system will update the charges basis on the new port of discharge and update the booking accordingly.


What are the penalties I will be entitled to pay if I do not load all my containers?


If you do not gate in all your containers without informing CMA CGM of the cancellation, you will be charged of a no-show fee based on the equipment type: 20' container = USD 200 & 40' container = USD 250.


Why CMA CGM cancelled my booking?


After the payment confirmation, CMA CGM will verify:
- submitted information accuracy
- compliance of booking party
- acceptance of the commodity
Basis on the foundings, CMA CGM will confirm the acceptance of the booking. If CMA CGM cancels the booking, the advance payment will be refunded.


What compensation am I entitled to if my cargo is rolled ?


SeaPriority offers the space guarantee on the next vessel hence your cargo should not be rolled. However, If for major operational issues, your cargo is fully or partially rolled, you will have priority on the next coming departure.
