Tanzania banking on its natural resources to boost economy.
Tanzania aims to become the world’s number one Cashew Nut exporter in the next few years. Cashew is a highly valuable nut and is a non-negligible source of income in Tanzania and other cashew nut producing countries in Africa.
Over the last few years, Tanzania has only exported raw cashew nuts to India and Vietnam. Indians and Vietnamese then process, cook and salt the nut. It is then either consumed locally or distributed to European and American markets.
Tanzania is striving to increase local processing industry to make the most of this cash crop both for creating added value to its natural resource and to boost local economy.
CMA CGM is major shipping line in Tanzanian cashew nut exports, for more information please contact Maildar.firstname.lastname@example.org
